In this study, it is aimed to investigate that what measure to healty of the spouses of the bipolar affectif disorder: In bipolar affective disorders patients group, 54 spouses chosen as the event group, and 54 spouses chosen gram healty volunteers as control group. The identifying information form and family function assessment scale have been applied to spouses of the patients. In the analysis of the data with help o fthe percent distributions, analysis of variance, chi square test, t test have been used with SPSS for windows 6.0 programme. The event group included in the research from the control group in the problem solving, communication, roles, giving the necessary assistance, general functions, behavior control. But this differance is not observed in the sub dimension called giving an emotional reaction. The data showed that was relationship between negative family function and disorder

Bu çalışmada bipolar affektif bozukluğu olan hasta eşlerinin aile işlevlerinin ne ölçüde sağlıklı olduğunun araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. 54 bipolar affektif bozukluğu olan hasta ve eşi yaka grubunu oluştururken, 54 ruhsal bozukluğu olmayan hasta eşi kontrol grubunu oluşturdu. Hasta eşlerine tanıtıcı bilgi formu ve A.D.Ö. (Aile Değerlendirme Ölçeği) uygulandı. Verilerin analizinde yüzde dağılımları, Ki kare, varyans analizi, t testleri SPSS 6.0 prognamı uygulanarak yapıldı. Araştırmada yer alan yaka grubu ve kontrol grubu A.D.Ö.' nün problem çözme, iletişim roller gereken ilgiyi gösterebilme, genel işlevler ve davranış kontrolü alt boyutunda farklılık gösterirken, bu fark duygusal tepki verme alt boyutunda görülmemiştir. Bulgular; hastalık ve olumsuz aile işlevleri arasında ilişki olduğunu ortaya koymuştur.
