It has been known that there are ancestorial, primitive, magic beliefs and practices that are non-medical but stili popular among people in the world and also in our country. In cur study, we have examineted the referrals, diagnosis and treatment methods from wich-doctors, prior to hospitalize 30 in-patients who were treated in psychiatry clinic for various mental disorders. We discussed the problem considering the results obtained.
